Oktoberfest 10.13.10

These are Jonathan Apples from my apple tree. The tart, tangy apples make wonderful apple pies and strudles.

My sister-in-law Beverly, taught me how to make fabulous sauerkraut. She shared her family's traditional Polish recipe. It is the best!

This is the real deal! No store bought puff pastry. Beautiful dough that I kneaded by hand for 15 minutes.

This is my mother Dorothy's apple strudel recipe. My brothers and I enjoyed this heavenly strudel every fall. Great memories....
